I felt the urge to try Indian food again. My favorite restaurant for authentic Hindu food was Masala in River Park. Unfortunately, they close down just like so many other great Fresno-Clovis eateries. My girlfriend and I stop by North India Bar & Grill to try them out. The ambiance is a combination of old India and Britain décor. They feature a very nice bar and a nice large cover patio. For us, that is a must because we both enjoy conversation and a good cigar and after diner drink.

The food was good but the service in the patio was very slow and the waitress had an attitude even though there were many empty tables.  My suggestion to them is to invest in better training for their employees dealing with the public.

Have you ever wanted to try Indian food, but did not feel comfortable about too much spice? You should not be with this restaurant! We stopped for a lunch there, they gave us very affordable menu and for my surprise I also found burgers and pizza there!  My kids had a nice large pizza to share and we tried curry chicken. I asked to make it very mild and was happy with my order. I would definitely stop there again.

My husband and I enjoyed a very nice meal here this past Fri. night after doing a little birthday shopping for our son's girlfriend. We originally had wanted to dine at Kim's Vietnamese and found it to be out of business when we pulled up. North India Bar & Grill was a nice alternative, we had brought a bottle of Muellar Thargau to go along with our dinner.
